Our Big Love Affair with Ducks

We had a couple of week-ends this year that were not so good for surfing. Rick and I get to do what ever we wanted. We both agreed on Eugene, with very little planned we headed down south just after 1pm. We wanted to see an Art exhibition, which featured one of Rick's art teachers from UofO. I was very impresed with the gallery. It felt like being in one of those high end smaller gallery in London. The quality of art and the architecture was pleasing. We spent a long time inside. I went around with my little sketch book and make notes just like when I was in art school. So inspired!

I love watching Rick trotting along the campus like he owned it. He would tell me many funny stories invloving one of his friends, "Matt and I used to go here, Rob and I , Chris and I, E, Drew, Joe, Monica..." It's like watching a kid accidently stomble apon a piece old candy stached away in his jacket's pocket. As I walked and listened, I imagine myself with him and his friends runing around campas yelling, shouting, drinking having a blast.

We ended up walking for ages, found ourselves a little Indian restruant all the way acrossed town. After dinner we either were going to walk around the tracks (my long time dream! still yet to be fulfill), or catch the Duck's game. Luck swing our way as Rick was approached by two girls who decided to leave the game early. We got in for free. The court was really beautiful, and intimate. I really like it. You can see really well from the nose bleeds section. They lost against USC. Oh well, there will always be a next time.
