New! My Dearest Grandma

Rick's grandmother passed away right before New Years (Dec 29).

I didn't really get the chance to know my own grandmothers, so she and Grammie (Rick's other grandmother) are like my own. Sometime I like to call Grandma "Grandmama", just because it sounds silly and proper at the same time. I think she likes that, or didn't really know what I'm on about.

It was an honor to know you Grandma. It's only been five years, but I feel really blessed that I have gotten the chance to know you and spend time with you. I have so much respect for the love that you had for your family. Your wittiness makes me smile. You can be so funny. I will miss our weekly conversations, about tennis and Angie—our two most favourite subjects. I especially loved her opion on what Serena would be wearing at Wimbledon. Who do you think will win it? (I asked), she always said, " I hope the american will win it this year". I hope so Grandma, maybe you can help a little this year!


She will be missed dearly by all her family and me. I love you dearly and I know that you love me.
